Niveau Juice Box
Choose a combination of an existing company and a generic consumer product to develop branded packaging graphics
Product: Juice Box
The Nivea logo alludes to the iconic Nivea cream tin, which is a product that dates back to 1911. The tin has been an iconic deep blue since 1925, and this blue has been a principal part of Nivea’s brand since. When the logo is placed on a dark blue background, the logo is outlined with white to make it stand out.
The dark Nivea blue is the distinguishing color of the Nivea brand. It is often paired with a pale blue and white. Nivea packaging is generally solid blue or white overall, and the only uses of gradients are very small radial gradients placed behind imagery.
Nivea packaging often features solid color backgrounds, with the Nivea logo center-aligned in the top third of the packaging. Imagery of splashing water, milk, or cream is often used to convey a look of smooth, clean, and refreshing products.
The visual representation of the flavour is in almost all cases the most prominent graphic feature. This makes sense, as the consumer will rarely even see the contents of the juice box, and so the graphics on the outside will be the consumers' only visual indicator of what they are drinking.
