The final design addressed the pressure points identified with a thick inflated padding edge, ensuring both comfort and an airtight seal. The mask comes apart into two components: an inner mask portion with the integrated filter and an outer fabric strap portion. The fabric strap dimensions can be selected by the user for a comfortable fit, and the strap can be washed to reuse indefinitely.

Through these design decisions, the OXO face mask is more comfortable, ecological, and safe than the current standard n95 mask. OXO's brand identity is infused into the appearance of the mask through colour, form, material, and most of all, functionality.
